Our society is messed up. When we were little at school we never worried about "fitting in". In my experience in 7th grade I wore the same hair do, braces and a back brace, I knew that I would stand out a lot. I didn't have a lot of friends because coming to a new school cliques are formed pretty much on the first day of school. I wanted to be just like all the other kids in my grade, I felt like I didn't fit in so I tried to change the way I looked for other people just to like me. Over the years I have changed, I believe that no one really fits in its just an illusion. Find friends who you love being around, people who love you for you. I want girls not to struggle with this issue anymore wear whatever you want. Society makes us think we need to look a certain may. People say things like "look at her hair", "look at that shirt" or "she is so flat". We all have done it, but if we want our society to change so girls and support girls then lets stop that. If we stop shaming others around us that illusion of fitting in can go away. I live by the golden rule "treat others how you want to be treated". If we want others to stop the talking then that starts with you, it is your life so stop worrying about this illusion. You are beautiful.
